PRODUCTION DATES: September 24, 25, 26, 30 and October 1, 2, 7, 8, 9, 14, 15 and 16, 2010 - You will be asked to read from the script for auditions. - Please be ready to list any conflicts ranging from Monday, August 2 through September 23 at auditions. * Must be able to speak with a British accent ABOUT THE PRODUCTION: Lettice and Lovage is the story of Lettice Duffet who is a tour guide at Fustian House, one of London?s stately homes. To liven up her tours, Lettice embellishes the stories associated with the landmark and is subsequently caught by the guardian of the National Trust, Lotte Schoen. Lotte fires Lettice and finds herself ten weeks later at Lettice?s door to give her a letter of recommendation. The two share secrets and become fast friends. Their friendship grows over time as they enact famous historical trials and executions in Lettice?s flat. When Lotte is injured during one of their reenactments, she hires an attorney to pursue the matter with Lettice. Lettice stops her with a heartfelt speech about the evils of technology and the two makeup. The play ends with the two women forming a partnership where they plan to give tours of the fifty ugliest buildings in London. buildings |
