"Les Miserables" is a dramatic epic told in song, with very little spoken word. Its story covers a span of several years and involves a vast array of characters. Therefore, in performing the piece, we will be using an ensemble cast of singing actors, most of which will appear in multiple roles. Thus, versatile character performers are necessary. There are tracks for 17 boys and 14 girls, plus a large chorus. To audition: Bring a 16 bar (or one minute) song either on sheet music or have a backtrack CD (a CD without vocals on it, just music). If you are not sure where to find these items, send us an e-mail and we will be glad to help you! Bring a photo of yourself that we can keep. This is important so the directors can remember who you are at the end of the day! A headshot is best, but if you do not have one, a school picture will be great too. Bring 2 copies of your resume. This lists any dance, acting, singing, experience you have. If this is your first time doing anything like this, don't worry! We love new actors! We are a teaching company and we will help you to have a great first stage experience! Bring your calendar! You will be asked to list all of your conflicts between the time you audition and the time the show closes. Please be honest and list them all as we do try to be as flexible as we can be.
