"Dreamers Of The Day" Open Auditions by Appointment 08/01,02/10. 1st rehearsal: 8/15/10. Runs: 9/16-10/2. Although there is no dancing per se in the project, we will be using movement to establish setting and mood. Actors may be required to portray inanimate objects and to move set pieces. All actors must be in good shape and comfortable with movement. Each actor (with the exception of Agnes) will be portraying multiple roles, all actors must be capable, (through voice and movement), of creating several distinctly different characters. Often these character switches will happen in one scene, sometimes several switches per scene. All actors (except Agnes) must be comfortable with British accents may be required to switch between accents on the fly. Agnes will need to be comfortable with a Midwestern accent. Please prepare a one minute contemporary dramatic monologue and a one minute contemporary dramatic dialogue. For dialogue auditions you will be required to perform both sides of dialogue as distinct and separate characters. Sides will also be provided. Please bring picture/resume stapled together. |
